Coal ore in wasteland?

I cant find many concrete answers, is there coal surface nodes you can mine in the wasteland biome?

is every mineable ore available in wasteland? i have only seen iron and nitrate ore nodes so far

Everything except oil shale. What you can do is run around a while and then open the map, zoom in as far as you can and look for colored pixels showing surface nodes. Coal will be black, lead is bluish, nitrate white and iron is brownish. They are a lot more rare than other biomes.

Just a side note. All trees in the wasteland give coal along with their wood. So if you have a need for both clear out some trees.

Its not as good as a coal mine but handy if you just need a stack to do something.
