Can you toggle creative mode on and off in a survival playthrough?

So for example, if I want to build a base and maintain it via survival. Can I build it in creative and then use the commands to toggle creative off again?

just use the creative menu in survival mode. F1 to open console and type cm to enable creative menu. a small lightbulb will appear in the crafting menu. you can use developer mode to be invisible while you build. console command dm then press esc for dev options. once you are done building just open console and type cm or dm again to turn the modes off
