Crack-a-bookstore question

Once looted the books disapear from the shelves. Do they rea-appear after the 7 day cooldown or are they now a 1-time loot?

I would assume it is the same as any other block type that modifies its appearance when looted (shelves, fridges, stoves, etc), which I believe the answer is yes they do restore on the respawn, but never really paid attention.

They don't I believe. I am on day 16 and looted a crack-a-book on day 2 but it never spawned the loot again. It did respawn the zombies though.

I think the crack-a-book is level 2 and the crack-a-cafe is level 3 - you can get them as trader quests. Not exactly what you asked but maybe helpful to keep an eye on level 2/3 quests from the traders to redo a looted book store.

If that is indeed true, then I'd actually prefer it that way. Books are the only thing you don't want to be in abundance. That was true for A20, and I bet is especially true for A21. Only books have power to make drastic changes in gameplay. Even an AK-47 with a 200 stack of ammo gives less opportunities than a one well placed mod or skill book.
