Changing block textures?

I know there has to be a thread around here somewhere, but how do I change block textures?

The command comes up once in a while, and I cant seem to make it reappear? My blocks currently look like dirt blocks, and its nothing big, but I liked the basic look.

So, if you know the thread or command, let me know!

Equip block, Hold R, paint block
