can you have as many smg or shotgun turrets as you want?
i assume theyre automated and stuff, i think you can only have 2 robotic turrets though, so can you have a lot of the other ones though? because it would be kind of depressing to only have 1 to 2 working

Yup. Their limitation is the ammo they burn through and the 15 watts needed by a Power Generator or Battery Bank (so make a new generator for every dozen or so gun turrets).

I recommend you place them so they shoot zombies in the back, that way they're less likely to trigger the bomb on Demolishers. There is no dishonour in shooting Zs in the back.

and no i was just looking at robotic turrets because they were the first one to popup in the creative menu and i learned they deactivated if you had multiple and i wanted to see if the other ones did that, because i just wanna make the game more like base defense with turrets then anything else

Turrets don´t trigger the explosion of demos in A20 anymore. This is a change that wasn´t mentioned in the patchnotes.

One thing to note for those new to gun turrets is that they count as Electric Traps, so you need perk level 3 or higher in Advanced Engineering to earn any exp (capped at 50%) from their kills. They are not governed by the Robotics Perk at all.

@Potato - I recognise your new information, but I choose to still shoot Zs in the back. I like to drink a Yucca Smoothie and watch them squiggle in the Electric Fences before they fall lifeless from a hole-riddled back side.

i became the solar package and a few days earlier a turret, so i placed it for a testing but can´t pick it up anymore. There is no option when i press and hold "E", it shows only two things "Open" and "Turn on/off" ..same for my battery bank. But i know i picked the Battery bank up ...its a bug ? or do i miss something?

Normally you can pick up electric traps if they're in the range of your Land Claim (the borders of this can be turned on if you Activate (press E) it). If it's in the range of your claim and you still can't pick it up, then I'm not sure what the issue is (maybe check if it needs to be repaired).
