Xbox Controller Not Working on Alpha 20
Hey everyone,
I have been trying to connect my xbox one controller to the game via bluetooth, and it has not worked. I have a 2020 Mac M1, which connects to the xbox one controller just fine. I am also able to access the controller through steam, enabling me to play with controller on a myriad of different games, except this one. I have been using big picture mode to do this, and am using rosetta in order to play this version of the game on mac. Still, the game does not register my controller despite being connected in every way. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, is there a way to connect an xbox controller to 7 days to die on a mac in the current stage of the game?

There doesn't seem to be any info on th

Not sure about Mac......and it maybe a Mac issue....but, I've seen many have problem with the game when it comes to 'Bluetooth.' So, maybe that's the problem? Others have had issue with controllers of various kinds / interfaces and not sure what they have going on. There is settings for controllers not only in Steam settings but, also in the game settings within steam. So, if you have 7d2d selected and click the gear icon (I'm not in big picture mode) to 'manage' & 'properties' for the game....you can configure the game to use steams controller settings or override them with different settings. Some people may not know that and it might need altered there....idk if that's yer case but, throwing it out there.

I can't get my Xbox controller to work at all even though it says it's full controller support. Doesn't make sense! I'm on Windows 10

You need to first setup your controller in Steams settings. Then in the 7d2d game properties, be sure it's set to use steams controller settings (Xbox controller.) Sometimes, even then, people may need to unplug the controller before launching 7d2d and then plug it in. Also, in 7d2d game settings, be sure it's configured to use your controller. So, yeah...3 places to setup the controller.....thanks to Steam client updating a while back to mess with our controllers, lol.

I have the same issue. I've tried disabling steam input for the game. changing it to use default settings in steam properties for the game enabling steam input for the game and it doesn't work. In the game i've tried to enable the controller and disable the controller, I verified my game files. I'm frustrated. I use my xbox controller in all the steam games and non steam games and i've never had a problem. any suggestions?
