The Power Source cannot have a parent connection
By far the stupidest thing I've seen. How are you not able to connect multiple wires to a bank. I have a power bank capable of powering multiple items, yet I can only connect it to one thing. There are 6 dead batteries in a battery bank. I want to charge the batteries. I use a windmill mod that produces up to 200 watts depending on wind. Why can I not connect multiple windmills to the power bank to increase the power for charge?

Seriously, start looking into electricity. Need to take a page from Minecraft modders and learn how to design a system that works.

Connect the windmils in a line and at the end the battery.

Power flows in one direction from the generator; And only one generator on the line since the cables can't handle too much load. Generator->Battery->Everything else in a branching tree pattern, always follow the flow of power and dont try to wire back to something you've wired out from.

It's not that they can't design a 'system that works'; It's that they deliberately chose to emulate a system that anyone ostensibly could be able to make on their own with the equipment at hand. It's not fancy.. It's not meant to be fancy or user friendly; It's meant to work.

The system is designed on a system that works. Granted, an old system from before we invented AC, transformers, power plants, and all that good stuff that makes electricity extremely user friendly- But a system that works nonetheless.

ok this upsets me why cant I wire gen => gen => battery => stuff i want to migrate over to solar but it dues not have enough power for my needs and i want to wire mutable solar panels into my grid built i cant because of this "the power source cannot be parent connection" thing I'm in a20 anyone know of any mods or fixes?

Heh...this was my issue...

Gen---Battery bank---switch---electric fences
..................................... L----trip wires---speaker

Turning the switch on and it works...turn switch off, it somehow electrifies the trip wires and causes the electric fences to sound the alarm speaker.

But 'it works'

well my problem is i want to have several generators like 2 gas engines or 2 solar panels or even a solar panel and a gas generator because i find it stuped that one line is limited to the amount of power one generator can provide i mean i can run several different lines for powering everything but i don't want to have to do that i just want to add another generator to the line and have that generators power support my existing system and allow me to just keep adding to my existing system so GEN => GEN => batt => stuff

Since you're modding it anyway, get a mod that allows multiple power inputs. Otherwise, it's like 'Shurenai' explained...... the idea is wiring can't handle the multiple power output loads...only one power source. If you can't find the mod for what you want, then you'll just need to do like the rest of us and split up your power grids for each power source. Like, for my BM nights, I use a gas generator to power a battery bank that feeds my trap / wpn devices for slaughtering the horde. Rest of the time, I just have some lights here n there around my base that a Solar powered battery bank can handle.
