How can I connect solar banks in series ? in order to have out output that goes into the battery banks to connect them all together ?
First... happy new year everyone!

Can I even do this ? Or you can't in this game... Cheers

Power flows in one direction, and there can only be ONE generator type object at the beginning of that flow of power.

You cannot connect multiple generators, be they gas generators or solar genertators, into the same power network.

Battery banks are not a generator object- So to include a battery bank, you'd wire directly from a solar/gas generator->battery bank-> rest of network.

Never knew you could recharge battery banks with a gas generator. Always though it was you pick one or the other. Either Always getting gas or always finding/crafting new batteries (without a solar bank)

That substantually decreases the value of the solar bank to me.

I knew you could charge the batteries with the gas bank but to hear you can connect multiple solars into one line of connections in series of battery banks... is kinda disappointing... anyways... ty for the answer!

So how would I connect 4 solar banks into my 6 battery banks efficiently ? Or I can't do that...

It's weird because I can connect battery banks in series... to an output like a relay which can go into multiple consumers... but you can't do that with solar banks into batteries... very weird how that is thought of

This game has solar panels? That work?? That aren't just there to be scrapped???

Yes, but don't worry about it... as they work now... they are pretty much useless... I thought they'd work differently...

You need like max/high better barter to buy them from trader stash. Though I think they can be in tier 5 completion bundles

Useless for someone like you, maybe. Solar panels are fine.

1 to 1.
You need 2 more solar banks, or 2 gas generators.

But I cannot connect all battery banks so they can recharge in sequence without me being bothered by watching after them... just throw a switch... but I can't do that it seems...

But why? Think of it for a second. You can connect a solar bank to a battery bank, and then from battery bank you power everything. During the day, power goes from solar bank, when it's night battery bank takes over and when the next daylight comes solar bank takes over again, both powering everything AND recharging batteries.

It's perfect. I always do it that way when i get my hands on solar bank and cells. No worries about fuel or finding new batteries. It is just connect and forget.

The annoying part is that you cannot connect more solar banks into one battery bank.... uuugh... whyyy oh why!... you can do that irl but you can't do it in a game ? cmon... that'd be cool and efficient... are there mods for this ?

That's why you can put 6 solar panels in one solar bank.

btw - The charge rate of batteries doesn't increase if you have lots more solar panels connected to them - even irl.

It just seems inneficient... It's way more efficient to run with just fuel and some batteries...

Also irl you can increase the power by increasing the amperage of the receiver, the powergrid has sufficient juice to do that, also depends on your house breakers etc... but this game doesn't work like real life

Maybe there is a mod. I don't know. But it is a question do you really need more than one solar bank per battery bank? In my experience one solar bank with six panels will recharge one battery bank with six batteries during the day without any problems.

And if it's power consumption what worries you, that is also not a problem. You can connect say 300w to solar bank and everything will be fine even though you can have max 180w output from solar bank. Reason is you do not use all power all the time. You cannot open say 10 power doors all at once and activate 5 bridges or what not, and your traps will activate when needed either by camera or plate or trip wire. It's not like EVERYTHING will consume power all the time.

Only situation i can think of where you could need lots of power all at once is during horde nights (if you use lots of traps) and they are, well.. Nights, not days. So you could not use solar bank anyway.
