Can Alpha 19 mods still work in Alpha 20?
Probably not but maybe the way they code allows it so I figured i'd ask. I really just want health bars and new vehicles back because the current vehicle selection is boring and healthbars just give clarity which is something I dislike not being in games because you never know if something works better or not

Best to ask the mod author. Some will, some won't. The more complex the mod and the more things it changed, the more chance it has a conflict with A20. So a mod that changes how long the coffee buff lasts may still work. A mod that overhauls all the game mechanics will almost certainly not work.

seriously? just look at the stats of the weapon you are using, and if you have any available apply any mods you can to those weapons. you can see the stats on the right side after clicking on an item. you can then compare stats to others by hovering the cursor over them.

OP means XML game mods, not item and weapon.

i know what they are talking about, what i'm saying its not necessary to determine what weapons do more damage, higher fire rates, etc. you don't need HP bars on enemies to figure that out. i know what mods are pal lol, i was just giving example of how you go about dealing with this.

What mods will or wont work will be hit or miss.

There were not a ton of substantial changes to core layout of the various XML files, however there were a lot of keyword / name changes that could impact mods that refernced them.

If it was a mod that added new things and dint modify existing records then it may work out of the box. But wont really know untill you try.

Add them in, one at a time and load the game and enter a world. Press F1 while its loading and see if any red errors appear. Attempt to correct the erro, and keep going till they all load (you dont even need to fully exit the game between updates, just go back to the main menu)

Some of my 'tweaks' mods worked right out of the box, but I've also had to go in and make minor adjustments.
