Will turrets shoot their "owner"
I am just worried will my turrets when I eventually make them shoot me?

No. But do try to not walk into their line of fire. They can't shoot a zombie if your big head is in the way.
IDK if it's changed but dart traps will shoot you and take about half your HP per hit. It's annoying because they probably take 10% of the zombie's HP...

Players have 100-200 hp; But the zombies have anywhere from 250 to 1000+ depending on the exact zombie, so.. :winter2019happyyul:

To the OP, No they will not shoot you; But as Kara said, Don't get in their line of fire. Other player traps CAN damage the player, from spikes to dart traps to electric fences and more.

ah I was much more thinking setting some up for base defense when I leave for what ever reason. but I was worried they would just end up shooting me instead of a zombie

Go for it! Turrets specifically can be programmed what to target- But by default they will be set to 'Hostiles'; AKA, Zombies.

living in the forest Shop Savage country and thinking of making a internal defensive wall two dart turrets facing the door that switch triggered (so not plate but I turn on a switch) and maybe to shotgun turrets or something
