That's right... sleeper spawns will be blocked at both locations. This will NOT block wandering zombies, screamer zombies and their friends, or Blood Moon zombies.

EDIT* And, the sleepers don't just disappear... you'll have to clear out the area first, THEN, once you put down the bedroll/LCB, they won't respawn inside that claimed area.

No, actually, Blood Moon zombies will find you where ever you are. As for spawning inside your base... those zombies spawn within a certain distance from YOU! If your horde base is large enough, and you put yourself on one side or corner, they can easily spawn within that distance INSIDE. It will not be prevented by the LCB or bedroll. This is a very good reason for keeping your horde base small, tight, easy to maintain and protect.

If this is wrong, and I have been known to be wrong, then I hope someone with more knowledge will let us know. Thanks!

It is also my understanding #GrainOfSalt (and experience) that they both block sleeper-spawns and horde night spawns within their range. I *may* be also wrong here, but that's how I've observed it. Never had a spawn within my base that has been covered either way.

But one thing to consider is, the bedroll has a radius (..or is it even just diameter..?) of about 12 blocks or so, which can't be changed with the in-game options.

But the LCB range can be changed which can *possibly* change things a bit. I always turn that up to max (71 blocks) in my SP games atleast.

I think the bedroll also has the option to change its safezone size...or at least it did.

EDIT: Bedroll has the option to adjust its "deadzone" size from 0-30blocks (I think in 5block increments) while the LCB has the option to adjust its "deadzone" size from 0-50blocks.

Oh, I didn't mean to suggest the horde wouldn't find you. I just don't think they spawn inside your bedroll or LCB safezone during the hordenight...so I think you can potentially keep them from spawning inside another area if you need to (and for some reason don't want to just build a floor for that area which should also stop the horde from spawning in there).

But I could be mistaken about one or both of them stopping hordespawning inside their safe-areas. I should probably just test it when I'm in-game.
Actually I found out earlier today when they spawned inside of my base. I set up a horde platform outside of my base so they wont break things. Welp, they spawned inside and broke things LOL XD!!

Ty for responses everyone. I was a little confused but im glad a bed can be used like that!! :)

Can confirm after testing that NEITHER the bedroll nor the LCB will stop HordeNightSpawning inside their safety zones (or anywhere else) in A19.

I flattened a huge area of land and then replaced all the ground with frames. Then I removed a 5x5 area of frames and the horde-night would start spawning zombies in that area when I moved at least ~30blocks away.
Placing a bedroll inside that area and then stepping 30-35blocks away, they'd still spawn right next to my bedroll.
Placing a LCB inside that area and then stepping 30-35blocks away, they'd still spawn right next to my LCB.

Just wanted to chime in (and delete my previous posts that had incorrect stuff).
Khissi was 100% right.
