No. But when you chop down a tree you should get a pine cone or an acorn that you can plant. They grow up in a few days.

Some people grow trees on their base. My friend's base looks like a big broccoli. Be warned trees are a bit heavy so make enough pillars to support them. =]

As above while in the early game you just chop 'em as you find 'em, after that and going into the mid to late game it's best to have your own trees growing nearby.

Just mind how many of them you do plant and now close as too many of them can do a number of your frame rate (depending on the computer), more so when the zombie swarm of the BM hits.
And then there's the support issue mentioned above.

ye its why i was wondering if they respawned. I heard planted trees are hella bad for framerates. Me and my buds had hella problems with fps already on hord 2.
My pc has a Ryzen 1700 and a gtx 2060 with 16gbs of ram and i had probs to lol

Easiest way around the frame rate problem is;
Plant them a fair bit away from the base (my friend and I have often used this one).
Be sure to cut most, or all, of them down before the BM.
Don't plant too many, though there's no way to know how many is too many without trying.

Or any mix of the above.

Unrelated to the tree question...If you're trying to keep performance up during the horde night; temporarily turn ShadowDistance OFF for that night, and try to keep your HordeNightZombieCount set to 32-or-fewer/player-count...aka 1player=32HordeNightCount, 2players=16HordeNightCount, 4players=8HordeNightCount.
Because your HordeNightCount setting will be multiplied by your players, and keeping it limited to 32 simultaneous zombies or fewer will help keep ~60fps+.

Temporarily turning ShadowDistance OFF avoids several different performance glitches AND helps general performance during the horde.

The problem with planted trees is that people tend to plant, yknow, dozens and dozens of them together in one place right near their base. That's bound to cause problems.

Just plant them sporadically wherever you chop them from(EG: Plant a tree when you chop a tree), or make a logging location a fair way away from anywhere you care about, and you'll be fine.

Shame on you Nov 30, 2021 @ 5:15pm
For what do you need so much wood ?
I prefer to set a marker in a direction and move to this marker during i chop all trees on my way.
Big benefit is that you get some eggs and feathers this way.

Well maybe thats not doable long term, since after 8 marker you have reduced the tree density arround your base so much that it makes no more sense
