How to check a Region coordinates in-game?
I want to reset an area of the map (basically a town), without it affecting my home base which is kind of north and slightly away from the town. I know Regions are 500x500 sqm in size. But Is there any way to verify which region you're in (either by debug menu or any other way)? I don't want to go ahead with the reset if my home and horde base is going to vanish too.

I'm just experiencing some odd bugs in the town area as houses I'm looting for the first time (non-quest looting) are completely empty of zombies.

Thanks for any guidance!

With debugmenu enabled, press F3. This will show information on the left side. Open inventory so you get a mouse cursor, then click the "Ch" radio button at the top. This shows chunk information in a new box at the bottom left. In there you will find the Region number, like r.2.1. Edit: may be an easier way but that's what I know.

Brilliant seven, thank you! I wasn't sure if it was possible or not.
(Gave you some Steam points btw. lol)

It is possible to just reset a small section of the map instead of full regions using the chunkreset command. I've even done individual POIs that didn't load in properly with that. And thank you for the points.

Really? I'll try that first. Thanks again.

There's a very simply another way but "borring/longer" to do...
- backup the party
- go to the base & login off
- go delete all region in the folder
- then reload save & go where was the base & the anti-horde base, then again login off
- go see new region create & so replace them by the same file with the backup
Thanks. I'll try Seven's method first and see how it goes. Thanks for the info.

I would recommend making a backup of your game, but otherwise, the cleanest fix is using chunkreset. You lose the least amount of map information. There doesn't seem to be a lot of documentation on it but it's fairly simple. The console command is in the form of

chunkreset <xstart> <zstart> <xend> <zend>

You just determine the x and z coordinates for opposite corners of a rectangle that covers the area you want to reset. The "F3" information panel will show the player x-y-z coordinates of where you are standing so you can find the corners. Write down the numbers (don't forget any "-" signs) then leave the area as the reset will only work on chunks that aren't loaded. What I do is leave the area then restart the game to make sure.

Yes, I always backup my game after a playing session anyway. :)
Haven't got round to trying out your fixes yet.. just real life getting in the way, you know? I will do though and report back when I do.
