Where is the character data saved?
I run a dedicated local server and access it directly (I have a keyboard, mouse, and monitor attached to it) so I have never needed to use programs like Filezilla or whatever to make changes. Recently, we started a modded vanilla "pack" and played through our first horde night when another friend decided to join us. Before he could make it to the rest of us in game, he lost needed quest items. He asked if I could just delete his character info and then he could start again, but I can't find the "saves" folder that everyone else seems to find.

I am running Windows 10 Pro on my server (yes, I know Ubuntu is better) and used SteamCMD to install the server files. It is 19.6 and when I look through the files it looks the same as when I browse local files from a single player game. How do I find individual character data? I have his steam 64 id and steam name and tried searching for that too with no luck.

On a commercial server I can FTP into, the saves are in:
[server root]/saves/[map name]/[game name]/Player/
For each player there's 3 files: X.map, X.ttp, and X.ttp.bak, where X is a number identifier for that player.

For offline play, they're in the same location but the root is
C:\Users\[name]\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\

I guess if you can't find the Saves folder, you could search the folder tree for *.ttp

Your save game folder is located here:

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Saves

For Navezgane, the *.ttp files are here:

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\Saves\Navezgane\Navezgane\<PLAYER NAME>\Player

I do not see a "Saves" folder anywhere - in any folder in the 7D2D game folders. The server folders look identical to the client side for me because it is a dedicated server that literally sits at my feet and I can log directly onto it as you log directly onto your client side. The difference is that my server loads the game in a command window without a gui (only a scrolling log where commands can be entered).

I have even checked my client side to see if there is a saves folder there and there isn't. The game is being saved somewhere because I can restart the server and it picks up where we all left off.

- UPDATE -
I did finally find it after doing a search for %appdata% and then going into the folders as directed by vgifford. Thank you! Why do they make that folder so hard to find?

About save folder, because 7DTD's dev are illogical (but not only them, nearly for all games saves).
Before long time ago, that was in "My Document" but they change that...
By the way, game option (graphic, key, sound ect...) it's not save in a file but in the register of Windows... xDDD
I told where the save game files are, please don't confuse people by posting outdated erroneous information.
