Do birds nests respawn feathers and eggs after looting?
I'm playing a multiplayer game with a friend and I like to destroy the birds nests after I loot them because:
1. I can get an extra feather or two from destroying it and
2. I don't like wasting time later by running up to a birds nest on the ground only to find that I've looted it before.

My friend is yelling at me not to destroy the nests because they will respawn feathers. Does anyone know if this is true and how long it takes?

Yes they can respawn. However, if you have the default reset time to 30 days, the ones you pass frequently will never respawn and the ones you don’t pass often won’t respawn until 30 days after you were last in that area. It’s almost irrelevant depending on the length of your days and how long you intend to play without restart.

With 90 minute days like I play on, that’s literally 45 hours of playtime without passing through the area. I don’t always even make it to day 30.

the nest will respawn feathers and eggs. takes the same amount of time as the loot respawn settings you are playing with. keep in mind if you pass the nest regularly it will reset the loot timer so it will never respawn.

Yeah I axe them up too. Early game I can use the extra feather or two. I hate running up to a nest just to find I've already searched it.

By day 30 I don't really care about the feathers too much since I've usualy got a few stacks of arrows and I'm swimming in bullets by then anyway.

At that stage I'm just searching the occasional nest in order to maybe find an egg or two so I can have a bacon and eggs treat.

Thanks a lot for the info guys! I will continue to axe them and feel good about it.

Personally, I don't axe them, but by the time I have a vehicle, I rarely stop at them anyways. The only reason is more eggs. Once I have 1000 feathers, which never takes long, I have more than I'll use before I stop playing.
