What does this Red X on the right mean, and how do I get Original type coverings?
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1959086371

Screenshot above shows this icon with a red X and have no clue what it actually means. It shows up every time I do a repair and what I am attempting is trying to get the same type paneling to match up with the wood type, but I seem to only get that box look and the icon with the RED X I have no clue about. Could not even locate it's meaning on the wiki.

Means you do not have the required cobblestone to upgrade block

The red x in the bottom right indicates you are lacking of building material, in this case cobblestone.

Cobblestone only takes stone and clay to make very easy, you can craft it through your inventory or in a workbench to save space. When you are upgrading wood, it will go through a specific cycle.

wood frame > light wood block > dark wood block > cobblestone > concrete > reinforced concrete > steel

If you are trying to match the wood block you are facing with the same pattern as the left or the pattern behind the radiator, you will need a paintbrush made from leather & wood, as well as some paint crafted in a chemistry station.

I'm more curious on why you need 483 wooden storage chests lol

Edit: I can see from your published image you were trying to repair the block to its original wood panelling texture. If you come across a damaged block with a texture, once you repair (to the second upgrade stage of dark wood frame) you will also remove the texture from it as all blocks upgraded lose their texture (including ones in pois). You will need a paintbrush, hold "r" over the texture you want to copy, and select copy texture. Or you can open the selector and browse other textures with the brush. Again, make sure you have paint. 1 paint for 1 block.

Thanks for replying too. I didnt make 497 storage, I just happened to grab it from the creative menu which seems to give most items in stacks of 500. I'm trying to learn the game and at same time build and not being able to match the flooring, it's just irking me to the fullest.
I actually had no clue there were hidden bunkers in the game. I stupidly died before learning of god mode because I was standing on the only block from a huge drop. As I fell I was cool, I found something awsome, the died and got send somewhere random and was like noooooooo! I dd find the spot not to long after due to starting to understand the map more. Debug isn't working for me, so cant get real coordinates so have to play guess till I land near something I know, then I record the info for later. Wonder if there is some type of easy teleporter mod that keeps good records and teleports without having to remember numbers to type in.

Yah that image is of concrete mix, after going from cobblestone you will upgrade to a wet cement block which is dark grey. It has to set for 60 in-game minutes before drying to a lighter grey which can then be upgrade to reinforced concrete.

I was just messing with you on the storages. If you enable debug (dm) in command console, once you press esc key you will see on the right side of menu you can enter coordinates of x,y to bring you to a location on the map. Alternatively, you can enter god mode, fly mode & no collision. Pressing C will raise you into that air. Holding shift+Q you can instantly teleport to where your crosshairs are aiming, rapidly pressing it you can travel far rather quickly. Looking on your map you could find that area exposed and where you last were.

You can also place a bedroll to spawn if you feel you could die without god mode on. You can also right click a point in the map and save a waypoint marker for easy finding later.

Thanks for the info. I also found the dev paintbrush, that sort of defeats the issues I was having. Weird thing about the debug menu, it worked only once, the never showed up again when I hit F3. Creative, fly, they all work, but not the debug. Im wondering if it was just a one time fluke in multiplayer.
