No hoe since A18; You craft Farm Plots now.

Idiocy. Really, how kill farming in nutshell! Brawo!

It's not that bad. Once you plant a seed you don't have to ever replant it. You just harvest the crop everytime it's ready. You can also pick up farm plots.

For lazy people maybe. Its no more interest in planting and harvesting, plus you now can find every recipe for cooking and planting, a farmer no more need in this game, so as this game to me. And if someone sad its for better optimisation - remove one gameplay layer is good idea, it is not.

farming in this game was never really a thing in my view so I am not sure what you are on about with farming.
I do agree that simplifying crafting tasks is not a good thing for those of us who like crafting but with that said, farming was really always a bit too easy

You can still farm simple things, but you will find plenty of canned food during your adventures. Canned food is safer with zero chance of food poisoning.

Not true. Now cooked food has zero chance of food poisoning too.
Water on the other hand...

If you play with multiple people at times early on its good to setup farming, as it opens your ability to get your food lvl up much faster. Specially now in A19 since dysentery was removed from all the cooked foods minus boiled water. (Guess average survivor may under boil it or something leaving the risk there, * shrugs *)

That being said I myself like the aspect of not having to constantly search for food. Growing it after a point is good time management, that allows you to focus on building and raiding for better things to setup for horde nights long term. Specially with revamp of the food/water system and item/tool use affecting it more, having a steady grown supply vs living off rng chance to find food.

I also do understand that seems more real to need a hoe to till ground instead of just crafting a farm plot. It was one of the aspects i miss in earlier alpha to be honest.
