How do I spawn with friends?
Is it possible, or do we just have to search for each other?

You would have to make it so there is only one spawn point on a map to do that, can't change Navazgane I believe, only custom maps, involves xml files and the like. But if you want to search for each other, you could meet at certain co-ords on the map. 0,0. would be map centre. Unless you have access to admin mode for teleport.

Not sure on default maps. The Nitrogen RWG editor has an option for co op spawning but I haven't used that yet. Maybe someone can shed some more light on that.?

You cannot directly spawn with friends at the start of a map without editing the spawn points of the map; or using nitrogen and selecting that option which edits the spawn points for you.

Once you find eachother though, you can place your bedrolls in the same place, and any subsequent deaths will allow you to respawn at your bedroll instead of at a random spawn point.

Typically you'll all spawn within about 1-4km of eachother, which is a 1-4 min sprint usually.

I've played a lot with the NitroGen system recently, and can confirm that you can set a single co-op spawn point when you generate a world. All new players enter the game at that single point.

The kicker is, if the spawn point sucks for the first person it, it sucks for everyone after them. So I suggest a quick test before committing the map to a server setup. Heh.

That is a great tip. I created 35 maps using Nitrogen until I was satisfied with the overall distribution of mountains, desert, cities, and connecting roads. I started a new game and spawned in way up north west where there are some small POIs and a town, but the bigger cities were to far to loot and return without a vehicle. I like the map layout so I'm sticking where I started.. for now. When I can build the 4X4 I'll probably move closer towards the bigger cities. I'm running with loot disabled so what I find is what I get. Big city, bright lights, or bust.
