way to wire multiple switches to something
so i have this lovely dual sided drawbridge in my base, however the switch only opens it from the main base, meaning coming from the otherside requires someone to open it from the main compound. Its kind of a bummer, i'd like to fix this if possible, does anyone know a way i could have 2 working switches to power these drawbridges?

I'm not 100% sure it'll work, but, Wire them in relay- Generator -> Relays -> Switch 1 -> Switch 2 -> Drawbridge.

I know it works for motion sensors.. Just dunno if it'll work for switches, might not since if either switch is 'on' the bridge will be open.

Just put a switch at both sides, connect them both to the same bank, then whichever you switch on makes the drawbridge lower
In Shurenai's words
Bank > switch+switch (one at the inside and one at the outside) > drawbridges

ive been wondering about this sort of thing as well for making switches to activate or turn off my electric fences from inside or outside my base. the problem is that you can not have an object have two parent connections. so you could not put two switches to one thing (as far as i know). similarly, id love to set multiple pressure panels to activate the same thing (such as a fence network), but i dont think it works...

Yeah, Most wirable objects as you say can only have one parent connection; So you have to wire things in sequence. Power sourece-> Switch-> Switch-> Door, for example.

Unfortunately, with switches specifically this becomes something of an AND gate- Basically requiring both to be on for the door to switch states.

You can do Motion sensor -> Motion sensor -> Door though, and if either is triggered, the door should switch states.. Or Motionsensor-> Switch -> Door, perhaps.

Basically a motion sensor, switch, or pressure plate can trigger or affecct anything 'downwind' of it in the electrical circuit, so you can set up two or more of them to a single object with that single parent connection the object can receive.

Thank you so much, this worked perfectly for me! ♥

Hey, I just wanted to share my setup, so originally I wanted to have a switch on the inside and either a pressure plate or motion detector on the outside, and also I wanted to have the drawbridge open while I'm in a vehicle. The pressure plates go out the window because they don't work with vehicles.

So I linked Generator>Switch>Inside Motion Detector>Outside Motion Detector>Drawbridge.

One thing to note is I pointed my inside motion detector to cover only about 0.5-1m before the door so I don't trigger it while doing other stuff.

The reason I implemented the switch is to have a way of sealing the drawbridge from the inside so it doesn't open at all and it also helps if I want to close it immediately when getting in because both of my motion detectors keep the drawbridge open for 5s so I can park in/out with my bike.

not sure if you ever figured this out but put 2 switches on each side connect to the switch inside the connector a wire for the inside switch to the outside then run a wire from the outside switch to the draw bridge then leave the out switch on and when your inside use the inside switch to turn off power to the outside switch

Wire it like this. Generator -> power bank -> switch (or camera) -> switch (or camera) -> (whatever you are powering). I hadn't tried it with more than 2 switches. It works for electric fences as well as doors, for me. ALL or the electrical traps. All running off of 1 generator and 1 battery bank. Except those that were too far to run wire to without a relay.
