Best mods for a combat machete?
Any suggestions for which mods to use / which are best when using a machete offensively? I haven't researched which mods work for which weapon yet, so just curious what others have done.

Basically all that fit. Serrated blade, fortified grip, dye. Rest is on you. Makes not much of a difference.

Assuming it's a level six machete with five slots I would put a serrated blade, flaming head, ergonomic grip and a structural brace in it The last slot would have whatever spare mod I had that would fit in it without having to remove any of the ones I listed.

In my game I'm using a fireaxe as my main melee weapon and I have those four plus a wood splitter in it. Since the axe and the machete are both bladed weapons, if I was using a machete I would put the same mods in to it.... except for the wood splitter of course.

Thanks for the replies! By chance, do either of you know if the decapitation effect of Deep Cuts stacks with Skull Crusher?

I checked the xml code .. Yes it stacks for only the head, not the other limbs.
So ... Level 5 (Skull Crusher + Deep Cuts) = 35% chance to pop head.
Deep Cuts by itself at Level 5 = 20% chance to decapitate head or limbs.

EDIT: ... Oh ... to add another mod to the weapon ... Rad Remover.
Stops radiated zombies from regenerating health for 90 seconds.
