Quest to retrieve supplies... no supplies.
So... I'm 0.7m away from the supplies allegedly. I have looted every single container in the cabin and exposed every lil hidden cubby. There's just NO supplies to retrieve. I literally dismantled the place looking for whatever I'm supposed to have to trigger the dang quest... nothing. What the hell? Anyone know wtf I'm doing wrong? It's a quest from trader joel

Sometimes the supplies are hidden underneath floorboards. Try chopping up the area until you find it.

Yeah... it was randomly under a floor block.... 10m from where the quest said it was -_-

There's literally only half a cabin left, lol... kinda ridiculous.

Also................. the distance DOES NOT MEASURE Z AXIS. It's X/Y only. So it's up or down from the spot it says :-/

You get those arrows on the compass, pointing up or down, telling you if it's above or below you, no?

On the compass? I don't think I did... it's possible I overlooked it though.
Yes. There's this yellow bag - shaped marker on the compass, wich indicates the direction to where the supplies are. It also has arrows pointing upwards or downwards.
A thing to note: If the quest is Fetch the Supplies, the marker will be fairly exact. If the quest is to Locate Hidden Supplies, the marker is like treasure map markers; a general location that can be within 5-10 meters of the marker and you'll have to search around. In the latter case, it's almost always behind a false panel in the floor or walls. Check behind paintings, too.
Yeah this was a fetch quest. I must have just missed the arrows pointing up and down or something. Sadly, as it happens... I could have gotten in and out WITHOUT killing any of the 10 zombies in there if I'd seen them.

I was just doing a clear area mission last night, too, that just would not complete! Turns out there was a somewhat hidden room that you could only access by some clever acrobatics or placing wooden frames to walk on... it was pretty well hidden from view, too.

I gotta say... the intricacy of construction in the newer POIs is impressive. Lots of details that you'd actually find IRL but which are wholly unnecessary to make the structure in game. Whoever is designing these things deserves some kudos!
