Crafting troubles and how to pick up Workbench

Hi,

I'm playing with some friends and we are having trouble crafting things. We have the required levels, perks and schematics but still can't craft for example the helmet lamp mods at the workbench. Neither can we craft iron bars while having the required level and perks unlocked. Is there something we might be missing?

I also tried moving a found working workbench by placing a claim block, but when I try to press and hold E it just opens up the workbench menu instead of the radial menu. The in-game journal says to hold and press E for pickup after placing a claim block. So what am I missing?

You can no longer move workbenches and stuff unless you built them. I think they removed that in a16. Do you have fuel in your forge for iron bars? Do you have the death sickness lowering your skills/perks? Did you put the clay and iron in the forge to melt it down that way the forge has the resources to draw on to make stuff? It doesn't pull it from your inventory

Certain items require crafting within certain workstations. indicated by a symbol next to that item, if the symbol is greyed out, its locked, if its white its unlocked. Anvil means its crafted in the forge, hammer is your inventory... fire is campfire... the table is the workbench, etc...

Crafting stations can only be picked up if they're ones that you have made and placed yourself. Pregenerated/pre-spawned in-the-world crafting stations cannot be picked up.

I think you can only pick up what you have made, not some random found item.

As far as the crafting goes If I recall correctly, you get some sort of message or something showing you what is lacking, mousing over the locks and carts in the perks menu will show what you need.
Make sure you have all the pieces for the part, should be the schematic and multiples of 4 other items, read the schematic to see what you need.
