Best Weapon & Mod Combos
What do you think works best with what? I like a reinforced iron club with the spikes mod and the burning shaft mod. What combinations do you find work best?

Err, the thread is over a year old, from A17, which had significant differences in mods, for instance, mods now max out at 4 in a t6 item. so this thread really isn’t relevant any more. Making a new thread on A18 mods might be a better idea, though A19 is just a few weeks away...

AK, semi auto, 2x scope or or reflex, and some compensator type mods.

Sledgehammer (Stamina grip, +other slots)
Shotgun for most fights (sawed of barrel, red dot, +other mods)
Ak (emergency weapon+Vultures) (Red dot or 2x Scope, magazin,+other mods )

Reflex sight, radremover, long barrel, extended mag, foregrip or bipid AK
Reflex, muzzlebreak, radremover, colour and whatever I can find, havnt found the best yet, for Mag.
Pistol get extended mag, reflex sight, colour, radremover and what else I find
Ergogrip, spikes, fire, structural brace for club, weighted head if im going sledge
Colour, string, grips, radremove(dont actually have the 3rd in current game but i want it) for bow.
any pistol, rifle or bow should have "the hunter" as one of its mods without question.
it adds, i believe, 20 damage to all entities even though it says "only against living entities".
after that...rod and spring, extended magazine, barrel extender, and flash suppressor for guns.
scopes are a waste on all but the pistol or marksman. argument could be made for a scope on the AK, but i prefer not.
silencer on the AK is also more effective than it is on the pistol. it doesnt attract the zeds like it does on the pistol.
rad remover is a waste except on the bow. guns kill them so fast that its wasted on them.

Wait, what? Are you sure about that?
Would like a confirmation of this too. My first thought when I found that mod went straight to "players." Then I remembered bandits are still (.....right?) supposed to be a thing....eventually. (Don't ask me why the mod would be in the game now if that's the case.) The only "living" things in the game right now are animals and non-zombie bears.
I have a hunter stored somewhere, think its time for some testing. as for sight on AK.. relfex sight basically bypasses any and all aimtime. nice for long barrel in cqc, or good for muzzlebreak at range. You have a sniper that can dub as smg, vice versa

"cripple em" should also be a must have on every/any weapon.

I have a really hard time seeing the good sides of this mod. Why would you aim for the legs when headshots is wtg?
If you cripple one, then you have a target on the ground on top of the ones in front of you. The time spend crippling could have been spend killing

yea, its fun. But I find it very inefficient

"ANY" hit has the chance to cripple them...not just leg shots.
again....on normal zombie modes, it may not be as useful. on nightmare its required.

I play Insane, I would never go for anything outside headshots
