Why does aiming make a sound?
I don't play much stealth but did a few times and thought this could give away my position to the zombies while aiming shouldn't make any noise at all or maybe a tiny bit from the clothes

Personally I don't think i ever noticed that aiming makes noise, and if it does, I don't think it's audible to zombies. Drawing an arrow in a bow however does make sound that they can hear.

If there is a sound made by aiming, it's probably just auditory feedback to doubly confirm 'yes I'm aiming now'.

Huh.. I'll have to keep an eye out for that the next time I play.

not a major issue but could be annoying in some cases and we already have lots of noise making stuff like all the trash on the floor (which I clean up all the time)

Everything you do makes sound even opening your workbench or forge while crouched in the pitch black. If the yellow bar is moving you are making noise or more visible it adds to the game.

I know and those kind of make sense too, just the gun noises not

Well like I said everything makes noise, so it totally makes sense that a man prone in armor is going to make a little noise raising a moderately heavy weapon and aiming down the sight.

Imo zombies seem to sleep heavy. I often crouch into a room and a sleeping zombie is right in my face. Perhaps you are walking over trash while doing it or you are lacking in noise muffled connections in your armor which can make a big difference.

have you ever held a pistol in your hand? and when moved it to aim did the Gun make any noise? I did mention the clothes/armor which could make noise but the gun makes the noise, I'm sure it would raise the detection meter if it was done without any clothes too
