All you have proved with demanding harvest count and that a broken system was fixed with a steriod shot to the ass. It didn't fix the issue...
well.. it did sort the claim its more tedious
It still didn't fix the issue. They broke an early game food source . Just so they can build a perk ... This whole argument is about that fact that they broke the benifits of hunting early game. Anyone with a brain can see this. It's trying to deal with a knife stabbed through your hand. You wouldn't just wrap it up, pump your self full of antibiotic and hope for the best. No, You would get it dealt with properly..
A15 made sense. charred, boiled, and grilled were your stages 1,2, and 3 respectfully . Along with baked potato and cooked corn with canned food being a sub for early game food progression. Boiled eggs, corn bread, veggi stew. were mid game foods with bacon and eggs being something that you could make early or mid game depending on your supply of eggs.. Meat stew was an endgame food that you would work for.
FP broke the chain of progession in this game by first implenting a system to work with a skill that that they made. And then by baring down and making it worse for early game. Thus making hunting nonviable as it leads to very little reward early to mid game.
Takes one to know one. But saddly your assumption is wrong.
Im sry for being dense. what is it you call broken? what benefits did you loose early game?
We get more meat now than before, relatively speaking.
Added skills. Is that bad?? are you sure youre playing the right type of game?? 7dtd clearly have a lot of roleplaying elements to it. Skill-trees is a fundamental part of RPGs.
You seem to be a little bit all over the place, jumping from broken hunting to broken progress??
Hunting is easier, as proven by numbers. That leaves the progress, and that you cant wrap your around a simply recipe that requires 5 units of meat instead of 1, or 2 or whatever the old number was.
I im not a big fan of the flow of the skilltree.. but its not broken. its 1st generation man, of an alphaversion of a game. Broken would require it to have been finished at some point
ever heard of " placebo effect". it's what they did from a16 to a17 . They just multiplied harvest output of meat by 5 and times the required meat needed for all meals by only 2.5.
You do this to any quantity, of course you are going to get more of something. But if you do this across the board without properly addressing early game items. You inherently break the system.
Hell they could of kept charred, boiled, and grilled meat at 2:1 and made the changes to the rest of the game and there would be no issue . . .
you really are dense...
placebo
/pləˈsi:bəʊ/
noun
noun: placebo; plural noun: placebos
a medicine or procedure prescribed for the psychological benefit to the patient rather than for any physiological effect.
a substance that has no therapeutic effect, used as a control in testing new drugs.
a measure designed merely to humour or placate someone
But ok.. what earlygame items is not being adressed?? the glassjars?? the virtual tetrapacks? the item you have like 50 of from looting and in the 100s once you find/craft a forge?
and who lives of charred meat anyways?? get some bacon and eggs.. you eat charred/boiled meat mebbi 1 or 2 days top, and ofcus in emergencys if you find yourself in a such
morning: bacon&eggs. Noon: bacon&eggs evening : bacon&eggs.
anyway...don´t tell this logic of the mole comment above any miner . they will ask about their bonus yield of 20% more to a yield of 1 or 2. ontop, use the words "coal!" and "miner 69er" to trigger him/her even harder;)
or may we change it viceversa?;) hunter 69er? you do more animal corpse dmg for lesser yield? how about that ? this post may contain sarcasm ;)
Animal spawn seems as random as finding a beaker (I very rarely see any animal, maybe 1 in a 500 moving entities is actual animal and not a zombie). I've bought a hefty supply of raw meat from... vending machines. It sells a meat per 2 dukes and have 50-150 at once. I really do recommend checking them out.
It's the 9th down and no one on the opposite replied to it.
Feels like the discussion should have ended right there and gone no further.
Also regarding the dev comment on the subject that they needed to increase it 5x to make it possible to fit the 20% perk as 20% of 1 is just 0.2 is absurdly silly.
It can easily be a 20% chance to get 1 extra as G Thoro mentioned 27 minutes ago.
Once again change the ratio to 1:1 and reduce the amount of meat obtained by 80% to keep it balanced and change the perk according.
Now absolutely everyone is happy because the game didn't change whatsoever and yet it makes more sense.
It is just game why you hef to be mad?
