Nitrate Powder????

Basically cant find any powder in alpha 17, anyone know where to go in detail?

The quantity I am receiving for mining in general is greatly reduced from A16.4, even with 3/5 in mother lode. Still, nitrate can be found in all the same places as before.

Which if memory serves me right... is in the burnt forests.

I’m swimming in the stuff, though lead is something I’m constantly having trouble keeping in stock. I get plenty of nitrate from kitchens and other lootable areas. Coal in great supply cutting down burnt forests. But I’ve yet to find a reliable source for lead. Not enough underground to get by with.

This is from biomes.xml.. notice that the layer depth * includes 2 entries for nitrate with 0.31 and 0.41 probabilities.

There is no such abundance in snow biome XML definition.

Happy to be proven wrong - actually it's good to clarify this because for a while nirate was in the snow biome.

Yea i found a bunch in burnt Forest biom. just went and dug and found some. Into the rock layer/surrounded by gravel?

It can spawn in any biome, but i think if i remember right its most common in the burnt or wasteland biome
I found some in the gravel near my base in the temperate biome. I'm currently in process of strip mining the area to get to it.
