Hobo Stew... quick question!

When I craft Hobo Stew in the campfire it has a short timer, but when I exit out of the campfire and return to check on it, it has a timer almost 3 times larger? It happens repeatedly! I think its a great stew, and has great stats, but crafting 17 it says 46 minutes or so then I close out and come back and its 149 minutes. Is it supposed to be this way? Shorter timer if I watch it the whole dang time? Or is this a skill based thing? I have experimented with other campfires and it still does this.

Yeah, apparently if you actually work at the w/station you'll add your skill/perk bonuses to the base timer for the crafting.
