What does Grandpa's Fergit'n Elixir do?

I assume it's to reset your skill points, but does it affect books or schematics you've read? Can't seem to find much on the forums and hesitant to spend the 36k my trader wants for it

All that I know it does for sure is reset skill points.. Also unsure if it affects books/schematics. Load up a new save in creative, give yourself a buncha exp with giveselfxp to buy some perks, and spawn some recipe books and see if it resets books or not.

I drank it once.. but.. I cant remember what it does.

On a non joke point. All it does is reset your assigned skills, so if you for instance find all the juicy schematics in the mechanic perk set.. you can shift points elsewhere.
