The spot light is being supplied from a car battery while the one on your mini bike is powered mostly from your engine unless you turn the engine off and then it runs the battery down. The normal spot light is infinate. I suppose this is the trade off...
Also, as somebody who is big into antique equipment (bikes, tractors, cars, etc) I can tell you that the engine sound used on the minibike is from a 2-stroke (oil/gas mix) engine. These use magnetos for electricity generation and as such the light would be on battery unless running the engine wide open. I have an old 2-stroke motorcycle and can tell you that the reason cars were switched from magnetos to generators or alternators was because at idle your lights pulled on the battery. So technically the bike still should not be as bright as the landing lights on a 747-400.
Besides, my flashlights are brighter than the spotlights. My AK lights up mroe area brighter than the spotlight, so yeah. It's an alpha though, I just wanted it noted that the spotlight is the dimmest light in the game.
