Serveradmin.xml help
Does anyone know how to get serveradmin.xml file to work on a dedicated server? I used steamcmd for the download/updating and downloaded using the 7 days to die server app #. Couldn't find the file itself within the local files steamcmd downloaded so I created one and just dropped it in the base folder. Possibly not located in the proper location? I've checked and re checked the path name in serverconfig and it's all correct along with the permission levels and the steamID's. Every time a command is entered into the console while In game it says the command is denied.

Thank you!

Yeah Reaper, what *.XML you use? F.e.: Dedicated Server App from Steam or Game-Folder adminfile,... Maybe you try a different Name for the file like to save, like
AAAserveradmin.xml
and search with naceassery permissions.
Otherwise the file is saved in the (7DaysToDie)- Folder under %APPDATA%, I think. In the main XML-File you can change the complete location/path...

When you initially start a fresh dedicated server there are no admins recognized (hence your console command denied). You must add your id to the list of permitted server admins manually by modifying the following serveradmin.xml file. Find the file using this path:
Windows(C:)/users/"your name"/AppData*/Roaming/7 DaysToDie/Saves/serveradmin.xml.
Recommend you open the xml file in Notepad. *This may be a hidden folder

yes! thank you! this was the file i couldnt find since i was looking in the wrong place! I had wondered if that was the same file you were supposed to edit but, in my ignorance, i assumed that since i used steamCMD it would be different.
