Resetting difficulty settings
The edited difficulty presets keep resetting to their default settings. It's been really frustrating to have to change the settings back to how I had them when I last played. Can the developers make a custom difficulty tab, where you can make your own "presets"? Or perhaps make it so they don't reset all the time.

Sounds like the issue is coming from somewhere else - my settings stick between sessions. Is Steam installed to the default directory on C:? Is the game installed to the default game library on C: also? Are you logged into Windows (I assume that's what you are on) at an Administrator level?
Steam is installed right where it's supposed to be and so is my game. I'm also Administrator on my PC (laptop, but that's irrelevant). The save files are in Documents, it seems like every save contains a "saveOptions" file.... Maybe that has something to do with it?

Also, the Adventurer tab stays set to how I set it a very long time ago but won't keep my changes. The others don't seem to change at all... Maybe I should do a reinstall. I've already verified the game cache files, which did find a few issues but it didn't solve this one.

Yep, if you've had the game over a large number of major patch revisions, I'd recommend a completely fresh install. Backup all your saves first!

1) Uninstall the game through Steam, then close Steam
2) Find the 7DTD install folder "\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\7 Days to Die" and delete it.
3) Run a tool like CCleaner to get rid of temp files.
4) Find "ClientRegistry.blob" in Steam's folder (\Program Files (x86)\Steam), rename it to "ClientRegistry.blob.old"
5) Restart the computer
6) Start Steam and reinstall the game

Remember to remove the bad Saves directory that comes down with a current install:

Edit: You might even want to remove the "7 Days to Die" folder that the game makes under the My Documents directory, so that it can re-make it clean, and then copy your saves back in after.

Alright, I did all of that and it didn't fix the problem. :/
The difficulty keeps switching back to Adventurer when I exit the game. It also resets my settings in say the Nomad preset when I switch to Adventured and back. It does seem to remember a few settings like air drops when I switch presets, but those also reset when I exit the game. It's really glitchy...

Definitely odd, though switching presets is going to force many of the options to change, by design. Not sure why it resets when you exit. Keep an eye on it when they put out future builds.
