Game keeps opening 'open logs folder'

Like every minute the game freezes and I get some red text at the left side of the screen. On the top right it says 'open log folder'.

Does anyone know how I stop this? This just happened today for the first time. I'm talking like 30 times in a few minutes.

"Some red text . . ." is not very descriptive or helpful. What does the red text say? Are you using any mods? Is this a new game or an existing one? New map or existing map? What game version? Have you validated the game files to see if that fixes the problem?

It says '7 days to die incorrect region file header'

Have validated the files and it's up to date with the latest version.

You didn't state how long you been playing this particular save and map... or, if you had previously installed any mods. So, without a bit more context, it'll be kind of difficult for anyone to help you. This should also be moved to the 'Support' sub-forum... which I'm sure it will be soon. So, look for it there when you're ready to add some more details.

"Incorrect region file header" sounds like an old map version or a corrupted map file. If you have a backup of your save game (which you should always do) you should use it.

Thanks for the replies, people. Unfortunately I accidently deleted the save trying a fix I googled.

So, I guess it is fixed now because I uninstalled the game. Lost a save i was working on for weeks.

Sorry to hear that. I know it hurts losing all that work. I learned the hard way long ago, and now I always back up my games, and if I have a base build that I really like I save it in the POI editor.

open the LOG FOLDER and delete the most recent log file it should look something like this

output_log_client__2024-12-13__14-35-26

Once you delete that than start your game and the log spamming will disappear.
