console opens and spams game with error messages
the console sometimes opens when a world is loaded and starts spamming the message:
NullReferenceException: Objekt reference not set to an instance of an object

no movement or other stuff is possible because it overlays everything as soon as another error message is put out

is there a way to fix this ?

PS the same or a similar error once popped up everytime when i tried to use my flashlight (happened only in one session)

Is this a brand new save created with 11.x?

Have you verified the game files? Go to the Steam Library -> right-click 7 Days To Die -> click properties -> Local Files tab -> click Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

You might want to do a totally clean reinstall then. Doesn't take as long as it looks:

  • Uninstall the game through Steam, then close Steam
  • Find the 7DTD install folder "\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\7 Days to Die" and delete it.
  • Edit the registry with regedit, find the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\The Fun Pimps\7 Days To Die" key and remove it entirely.
  • Run a tool like CCleaner to get rid of temp files, DNS entries, etc. Make sure Steam is checked in the 2nd tab before cleaning.
  • Find "ClientRegistry.blob" in Steam's folder (\Program Files (x86)\Steam), rename it to "ClientRegistry.blob.old"
  • Restart the computer
  • Start Steam and reinstall the game

You shouldn't need to touch your \My Documents\7 Days To Die\ folder. You can always test to see if your install is good after all of this by simply starting another game with a different name.

ok going to try that tomorrow (my connection is to slow to redownload in a reasonable time atm)

PS it works after a restart but it comes again "randomly" when loading a world

That's odd. You can always try a new world and see how long it goes before happening. Most people don't get console errors with 11.x

I'm getting this bug on a certain multiplayer server but no where else. I'm not sure it's related to a bad install or such. Weirdly I can sometimes play for hours on this server without issue but then this bug starts and I can't get back on. I haven't had it anywhere else.
