EAC error is becoming a huge problem.
It's becoming more and more of an issue that my friends are unable to join or play the d*** game because every time they try to join it tells them they can't because of an EAC authentication error, and this is happening for my friends on xbox, playstation AND PC, and it keeps happening more often and some friends can't join AT ALL. They are COMPLETELY barred from joining, a few of them spent HOURS trying to join and to NO avail. And this is becoming so incredibly annoying. I have found NO answers, I have asked even REDDIT, and even they didn't have any solutions. This game already sucks with all the things they've changed and removed compared to the OLD version before they bought back their game. But this? This is completely intolerable. I've tried EVERYTHING I could find to solve this, and NOT ONE THING has worked. At all. And I'm at my limit.

Well if reddit didn't have the answers then you know it's broken beyond repair 🤣.

Not everything. You haven't even stated if you hosting a private server or you and your frinds are trying to join someone else server. You also haven't provided a log file to help others help you. And you certainly haven't read the pinned threads.

I don't know how to get the log files firstly. Secondly, they are trying to join my private game. I have even tried turning off EAC security. Nothing. Same error.

Hello,

have you or your friends installed any mods? Some mods can trigger an error message because the EAC filter is triggered.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you how to access the log.

No there are no mods. We have gone through all files on their PC regarding 7 Days to Die. There are no mods. And plus the game still can't be joined even after EAC is disabled on my end when they try to join. Some people can join and some just can't and there is no difference between them except different computers.

Hello,

that's very strange. What's even stranger is that I've had the same problem since yesterday. I can no longer join MP games of friends that I was able to join the day before. Although nothing has changed. I can't even see them listed in the friends list on the 7D2D game join screen.

It seems as if the game can no longer read the list of friends from Steam, which makes me suspect an error in the game with certain clients or in Steam itself.

Yes but that doesn't explain how this is only happening to a FEW people. Only a few people are suffering from this that I know. One person couldn't join for two hours and then suddenly didn't have any further issues. And they didn't even change or edit anything. And other people just can't join no matter what. And we are all on the same platform of steam so. I am genuinely confused.

Luckily I bought the PC version before the price was updated, it used to be like 18-19 bucks, and now is double that. Over double. But for the friends who recently bought the game, it was a waste of money because they bought it ONLY to play with me and they can't. Which sucks.
I have the same problem from the same date of the original publication, and it is definitely a problem of the game since I try on different computers on the same network and different accounts and the problem persists on the same computer with all the profiles, however in another computer all profiles if they can be connected, hopefully they will solve it soon: c since it is a game that I love to play with my friends

Hi, I found the solution to my problem. I can't promise whether it will help you too.

Check the main menu in the options under General to see if "Cross-platform play in multiplayer mode" is set to Off. If so, then switch it on and you should see your friends' servers.

Unfortunately, that did not work either. Thanks for trying however.
