Keep getting black screens while playing!!!
Every time I load into a game, about 5-10 minutes in, I get a black screen, and the only way to get rid of it is to restart my pc. This issue only happens when I play 7 days, never happens in any other game. Any reason why?
( I got this game from CDKeys, so can this also be cause for the black screens? )

Cdkeys is fine--a redeem code will never cause an in-game issue.

Need more information to help you.

--What's happening in the game when the screen goes dark?
--Is the monitor shutting off, or is the screen just turning black?
--Does the mouse pointer still work when the screen goes dark/black?

Posting a log file will help the most.

1.) Once my screen goes black, I'm able to still move, hear audio/discord, interact/talk all with a black screen. After a couple of minutes, I'm no longer able to hear anything, which forces me to restart.

2.) I apologize because I mislead you. What I meant to say I no longer receive display from my GPU, which causes my monitor to enter power save mode due to receiving no display.

3.) No since I no longer receive display from my GPU.

This sounds like an outdated GPU driver or monitor issue. So let's start with the easiest tests first.

1) Use the official site to update your GPU--dont trust windows or any third party.

2) The monitor issue can be tricky but lets start with the least expensive and easiest to test first, which is the display cord. If you have another HDMI cord (or whatever you are using) to test then try switching it. It could be something as simple as a 5 dollar replacement.

3) I would also suggest disabling power save mode in the setting as well. It doesn't work like it's supposed anyway.

Honestly might be my GPU drivers, but they are up to date. Have the 7800XT. I saw a discussion about clearing my game data, and ever since doing I've been playing fine for over an hour now, no issues.

Glad you got it worked out.

Something to keep in mind moving forward. Whenever you update drivers and get the option to either override previous drivers, or do a complete reinstall.....do the latter. Overriding previous installs can cause a mountain of issues. Especially if you only update your drivers every so often.

Just some food for thought. Good luck.

Yeah I might've done that a while back tbh. Need to do some research on how to clean drivers on stuff. Big thanks for your help by the way!
