Cannot Figure Out How To Crossplay
I'm trying to play 7 days to die with a friend on Xbox, and we can't figure it out. I tried everything, but we still cannot figure it out.

Today we are making our V1.2 Crossplay patch available to every platform.
Players on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC can now enjoy cross-platform gameplay.

Please note: The Xbox and Microsoft PC Store versions are taking a little longer than expected to pass certification. We don’t expect any issues and hope to release them as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding—we’re excited for everyone to jump into the update soon!

For cross-platform games to show in the server browser:
Console: Set the option General>Crossplay Enabled: On
PC: Set the option General>Crossplay Enabled: On, but it also requires EAC Protected set to On
Maximum supported player count for crossplay is 8 and world size of 8192.

Make sure you check out the FAQ on that page as well.

How to Crossplay
Hosting:
Start a new or open an existing save and make sure that in the General tab, Server Enabled is set to "Online", and Crossplay Enabled set to "On" before starting your world.

If you are hosting from PC, you need to meet the following requirements so your world is visible for other platforms:
  • Version 1.2 b27 or later
  • EAC: Enabled
  • Max map size: 8k
  • Max player count: 8
  • Mods: None

Joining:
  1. Select the Join a Game option in the main menu
  2. Under Server Name, type the Steam/MS/PlayStation ID of the host you want to join (or leave it blank), make sure to select the correct Region too and start your search.
  3. In the next window, make sure you are in the Peer to Peer (P2P) tab, represented by the 유웃 icon. Search for the name of the host you want to connect to, click on it and then click on Connect.
Why the hell would they use Korean characters to cross play?

but their choice is rather ironic...
because the whole system is "laughable"

Just bought this for my son and i to play together. Didn't realise the console version is so horrendous. Wow - aint no-one gonna play this game on console. Also, can't work out how to crossplay at all. There's no "server name" option at all. Clicking on join game just brings up a screen where it says it's finding a server, then just automatically joins a world. Also, what is creative and survival? Which one do I choose? Man this is bad

By the way, those instructions above about joining don't make sense. In point 2, there is no "server name" that comes up at all on the xbox. So those instructions are bogus
The console version is identical to the PC version.
Is your kid on an old console using the now defunct Telltale version?

But that's exactly what I can't enable, the game doesn't allow me to enable this function.
