Concussion locks mouse?
Is this a bug? I can't turn my camera or anything when I get the concussion prompt, causing my mouse to be locked. I have to restart the game in order to be able to look around again.

Very weird behavior. No, it is not supposed to be like that. Any mods installed? I'd suggest letting Steam check game file validity.

I didn't even know the game has mods. I booted the game up for the first time in like 3 years and started a completely new save just to see the current state that the game is in.

I've looked it up and other people have had this bug before but nobody else has been able to find a solution to it either. My mouse stops working the moment the "camera tilt" thing happens when concussed.

If you didn't remove the old game files - you are required to do so. The game launcher(press the Play button with Shift held down) has a button that does that for you. You need to have all the remnants of older releases completely wiped out, or you'll get weird behaviour.

What is your mouse DPI btw?

The game was never installed on the hard drive I installed it on, and there was no temp files on my main hard drive because I had gone through a clean install since then. There was no remnants of old files.

I don't really have that on hand, but I really don't see how this is relevant. My mouse works perfectly fine, up until the concussion occurs. When the concussion occurs and the head tilt thing happens, I can't move my camera at all, but my mouse still functions perfectly fine, including in menus.

Those files are at the %AppData%, which "moves" with your C, Windows disk. If you mean main as Windows drive, then OK, that shouldn't be the issue, then.

People used to complain about high DPI playing badly with games trying to slow down the mouse. I too doubt it is causing the issue. Just asked in case you have some rare case of it.

Try turning on the direct input at the game launcher, maybe that'll help.

yes, windows drive; recently I did a whole reinstall/wipe/cleanup for PC Health reasons so there definitely is no chance of this game having remnant files from 5 years ago lol

I'll look into this. I've also seen other people who had this issue say that pressing Alt fixes it. Next time I decide to try the game again I'll try these options and let you know how it goes. Hopefully it makes a difference; some people had the bug just miraculously stop happening after a full restart (Which didn't fix it for me, although I only restarted it once)

I appreciate you trying to help!
