Settings Resetting Issue
I keep running into this problem and I'm out of ideas how to deal with it. EVERY time I start up 7dtd, I have to re-adjust all my settings for things like graphics because they keep cranking themselves up to max across the board, bogging down my system slightly and making the fans in my tower go into overdrive to keep my system from (possibly literally) melting down and/or catching fire.

Coincidentally, every time I log in to Steam I get a bogus "Update" for the game that seems to change literally nothing and is over so fast no human being could possibly click on it in time to stop it, meaning it must be tiny. I've been experimenting with playing in offline mode and coming back online and sure enough, this "update" and the settings reset are only happening when I have an internet connection. I'm fairly certain the constant "updates" are just the game downloading a reset to my settings for no apparent reason.

Is there a fix anyone knows about so I can stop needing to reset all my graphics settings every time I do literally anything online on Steam, or should I just uninstall and wait for a patch? Frankly, it's surprisingly annoying and kinda ruins my mood to play, I'm surprised I even have this pet-peeve but hey, guess it means I'm still human and haven't turned into a zombie (yet) after all eh?

Do you happen to have the "Nvidia App" installed (not sure if AMD has similar), that supposedly automagically 'optimizes' your graphics settings for games..?

I accidentally installed that when updating drivers and ditched it as soon as I realized it does that ♥♥♥♥ all on its own, without asking me..

I do recall Nvidia trying to shove an app down my throat in place of the old "geforce experience" at some point. I'll look into it.

Much testing and head-scratching later, Nvidia actually wasn't doing literally ANYTHING to my settings, even when I set them to "performance focused" instead of the "I need my computer to catch fire trying to look as pretty as possible" default.

Then I noticed it also kept resetting. Long story short it turned out I've had CCleaner set to wipe the settings every time It ran ever since a certain update, which when I went back and checked dates, would've applied right around when I started noticing the problem.

Gotta love when update crews decide to reset everything on you hoping your PC breaks lol.
JK, I know sometimes it's unavoidable, but a heads up of some sort when they do reset would be nice.
