Well, I was going to say only an Active Bedroll prevents POI Zombie Spawns...
BUT you also state your last placed Active Bedroll also exhibits this behavior.
(That screenshot bedroll doesn't have the Active Icon - or you hid it's way point).
Got Mods?
My only suggestion would be to check if any Mods may have this side-effect?
OR, you may have "discovered" a weird bug in using a pre-v1.2 generated map.
Older (v1.0+) maps are "supposed" to work fine with v1.2, but you never know.
Or was it some sort or weird fluke.
I usually place bedroll near LCB. The bedroll i woke up to after dying was slightly out of range of the LCB.
No mods and i generated this map in 1.2
Screw that I'll just increase the LCB range.
Out of (Morbid) Curiosity, were you the Big Spoon or the Little Spoon?
