Bug: Aiming glitch
This has happened to me a couple of times. I'm not sure exactly how it happens. I'm guessing it might have something to do with running out of ammo and reloading when being hit or switching weapons. Again, not sure exactly what causes it. Seems like a borderline case, but as I said, it's happened to me a couple of times.

What happens is that when I aim my weapon, the camera is becomes tilted in another direction and I can't aim at anything (see screenshot). It has usually occurred when I've been using the crossbow, but when the glitch has happened, changing to other weapons doesn't help. It only occurs when aiming.

I'll try to figure out what the circumstances are the next time it happens. Anyone else experienced this?

Never seen that, it's odd.

I experienced it again, this time with a sniper rifle. I was crouching when I tried to take aim.

I observed some things. The camera tilts before the first-person aiming animation starts. The pistol, SMG and sniper rifle all tilted to the same spot, while the crossbow tilted to a different spot entirely. To make it clear; the camera tilts when aiming. Returning to crosshair mode, rectifies the camera, until you aim again with any weapon. Fidgeting a bit back and forth between weapons/tools eventually resolves the problem.

It must be something related to either the reload animation, the aiming animation or hunger/thirst animations, as these are the only ones that affect the camera this way. Probably some initialization that is skipped.

(On a side note; Apart from the glitch I describe, I noticed that shooting with the crossbow using only the crosshair, the arrow misses it's mark. Also, the crossbow animation starts with the bow in a horizontal position.)

Supposedly switching to other items in your hotbar, and/or removing the weapon from your hotbar can help fix it. Dropping the item and picking it back up may help as well.

I just experienced this exact thing, only I know what caused it, I died while aiming down the sights of the crossbow, and when I respawned my view was all flipped around, switching weapons resulted in me being stuck in 3rd person mode, but every time I switched back to the crossbow, all sorts of wierd things were happening, including the view being flippedaround so I was looking at the front of my character...

In the end I fixed it by simply exiting and reloading my game(SP)

That's pretty funky. Nice to hear a reload fixed.

yeah, seems like reloading the game fix the issue, but after some minutes switching between weapons it happens again; I really hope Pimps know about this....

Try switching and aiming slower, so that they don't overlap. Same goes for reloading.
