On a side note, my second computer is a laptop with equivalent hardware (i.e. 2Gb of ram, ATI graphics, ect...), Win8 64-bit, and game runs, very laggy, but it does run both with local server and remote servers. Was just checking to see if anyone had any ideas or tips on how to resolve this issue, or if it's on the developers radar to address in a future build of the software.
Thanks!
You might have 4gb, but you haven't posted any detail on your computer or what is running at the same time as the game. Can't expect people to help if they can't see what you are working with.
Chances are good you have stuff running at the same time as the game, in addition to services, that all take up too much memory and don't leave applications enough. We won't know until you get us a DXdiag, screenshot of your Task Manager before running the game (but with Steam started), etc.
Code and memory usage will improve as the game progresses, but the full optimization stages are much further along in a normal development cycle so I'd not expect them anytime soon. That is not to say The Fun Pimps can't do such sooner than a normal development cycle, just setting a more realistic expectation.
@jjakupca you don't even meet the minimum requirements under the current projected ideal final conditions. Even worse when you consider that this is the Alpha stage, so those requirements have a lot of potential change, and should be expected to be higher at such an early point in the development cycle.
Thanks Jᴧgᴧ. Good point. I didn't realize that the minimum requirement is 4gb. I'll go find the requirements information for the game and look those over.
Thanks Red Eagle LXIX. I didn't know that 4gb was the minimum requirements for this game, mainly because I didn't read them before posting. Thanks for the post! Much appreciated!
