AMD 5800 HD overheating....
So ever since A11 my AMD 5800 HD ATI Card has been overheating from 50 c (average for long usage) to about 70~80 in singleplayer and regular multiplayer and in peer-to-peer games it is 80~90 , I know it sound impossible/weird but it only happens with 7DtD so I think its the problem. Is there any fix? or must I just wait for a future update?. (It happens in A12 and is worse now. My simple Specs are :

8.00 GB of DDR3 RAM @ 1600mhz
My OS is 64-bit.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66 Ghz 2.66 Ghz
Video Card :
Graphics Chipset AMD Radeon HD 5800 Series
and the Memory Size : 1024
Memory Type : GDDR5

Yesterday was the first time I've played in about 3 weeks - Computer overloaded and shut down due to excess heat - AMD Radeon HD 5800 Series - Maybe an AMD issue? - PC stats are almost identical to yours also

Ensure you have the latest AMD drivers. There was an issue not too long ago with their new Crimson driver locking the fanspeed of their GPU's to 20% which causes serious heating issues.

This game runs hotter on every GPU I own than any other game I have. The reflections and shadows are the biggest culprit. I've posted topics about this numerous times and nothing has ever been done about it. Make sure your FPS is locked to a respectable level (30-144), disable reflections and if it still hot - you'll have to disable shadows.

As a test - I can force my GPU to 50% speed on all clocks - lock the FPS all the way down to 15 and it STILL gets hot on this game. Only this game and only with those settings.

For reference my main GPU runs 30c cooler under max load on average on every other game i've ever thrown at it. A Huge difference.
