RANDOM MAP GEN PUTTING WATER ALL OVER MAP...

Never had a problem with the Alpha 20 generator until i moved my steam completely to a different SSD drive. Heres what the map looks like on the preview... https://imgur.com/TNIPkFG
What map gen folder am i missing.
and yes... ive reinstalled the game, ive verifed files multiple times, ive deleted ALL my previously generated worlds AND saves... pls help.

Turn down the lakes and rivers from default and preview again, keep doing that until you get what you like

I turned lakes and rivers to NONE and it did the same thing... oddly even worse lol

Make sure you use a different seed name fro every new map

I just created a map with those exact same values and settings, and got something very different. Yeah seems like something is mucked up somehow.

Edit - It's really not a good map... Might want to try for something better anyway.

yeah i know, ive seen people with the same problem but no answers. this really sucks because i cant play the game...

Just curious, how do the pre-gen maps load for you? They're not too bad and could at least get you playing til you can get an answer on your RWG.

I was actually playing on a pregen and everything is fine except there are some missing buildings... i think i was playing on PREGEN8K on latest_experimental.

You should have run the 7d2d launcher.exe, switched to 'tools' tab, clicked on 'clean game data' and selected all the checkbox options. You need to use these launcher tools anytime you update the game or uninstall / re-install......and in your case....moved everything to a different drive. Otherwise, you get erroneous Windows registry values mucking things up.

Edit: Just be sure to make a backup of your save and map files first. Copy them back after using the launcher tools. But, in this case, you don't want to be re-using those maps. Need to generate new ones.

Just did this and no luck, still has the weird water/mountain spikes all over map...

Think I'd start over from scratch at this point. Complete wipe, opt into desired version through the beta tab in steam 7d2d properties, install, clean using launcher tools. Be sure mods folders were deleted during the complete wipe or moved for safe keeping. New world gen and save started. See this thread;

If still getting issue, I'd suspect a corrupt gpu driver. Would need to do an uninstall of current one and download / install of latest......custom / advanced install to choose appropriate settings during installation.

this is when i load up ANY of the pregen worlds... This one is Pregen10k. also to note, i installed kinggen and it doesnt have the glitched water over the map i generated on there.
something is definitely wrong with my 7D2D/STEAM. I also uninstalled and installed the game and wiped everything and still happened...
