Very High Ping

Me and my friend are playing 7 Days to Die together just the two of us and yesterday we were playing, i was hosting and he had 98-200 ping but today his ping has skyrocketed up to 3000-9000 ping its a crazy jump. We've restarted our games, PCs, let 7DTD through our firewalls, had the 7DTD file excluded from the windows scan and still over 3000 ping.
Anyone know if this is a new isssue/have a work around?

Hi, did you manage to find a fix? I'm experiencing the exact same issue - random lag spikes of 30k+ ping to 100k. My friend is hosting and he's tried the same Windows scan thing but it doesn't seem to work.

At times it seems like it's triggered when there's large world updates, but other times it's just random. For example playing a tier 6 quest.

No unfortunately we did not. It just stopped happening randomly and the issue never happened again
