I fell through the world and now I can't load back in.

I'm playing on my friend's world. It's just me and him in a randomly generated world. I was riding my bike on the road and turned the corner and the wheel got stuck, like when you get stuck on bikes in the mountains. The wheels were still spinning but I wasn't going anywhere. I thought maybe there was like a bump in the road so I tried to push through it but then the bike flipped over and threw me off and I fell through the world. I seen my character falling looking up at below the street and then it just froze.

I restarted the game and tried to reload but it would load to "Starting game..." and go no further. I could hear the world through my headset but my screen was still on the loading screen. My friend found me, I had loaded into the world on his side but was under ground. He was able to teleport me above ground so I restarted the game again. I loaded in on his end where he left me but my game still froze on Starting game.

We're gonna try restarting the world and see if that fixes it.

Update, when he tried to reload the world he got stuck on the Starting game screen too so I must've bugged out the world. :(

Please take a look at the Pinned Troubleshooting thread for workarounds and fixes. If you still have an issue, then please read the Pinned thread on How to Report an Issue, and follow the instructions.

If you are on a20 experimental, be sure to wipe all data from previous versions and try a new map with a new seed you have not used previously.

Hey... just a heads up! In my map/game, a mod namely "lootable vending machines" causes this error... maybe you should load into your map, but without any mods. But please make a backup of your game-save!

We weren't playing with any mods. Just the A20 experimental update.

It's too bad no one having the issue can follow instructions to make a proper report so the issue could be looked into.

Shut server down and get admin to delete "stuck" player profiles and restart server.

There should be a player profile maybe with you steam id in his save he has to delete it so you can make a new char.
