1.0 Insane FPS loss / Lag
I have been playing this game for years with ZERO issues!!! I have upgraded my machines to stay as current as possible (not a 10k build though). Up until 1.0 I was still playing A21 with ZERO issues.

Now, the game is virtually unplayable.

I have turned my graphics to as low as the game allows.
Checked to make sure all drivers up to date.
Have nothing running in the background.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled and updated to current.
Added another 32gigs of RAM that was never needed before.... and no change.

I can still play Rust on High settings and holding 90-100 fps, but 7D2D is just bad averaging 26 fps.

Has anyone else come across this?? Any solutions that have been offered?
Anything???

SAME. Theres a handful of us man. Just gotta lower settings a bit and deal with the stuttering till Fun Pimps figure it out. You should see how consoles are faring. 10x worse than pc. They borked 1.0 for alot of configurations. Im sure itll be addressed soon.

sometimes laggs or "freeze" when opening a container, but that is since alpfa <10 or so...

Did you clean you config folder at reinstall?
%appdata%\7DaysToDie
These folders won't be uninstalled by just deleting the game.
You should also provide your full specs for any kind of technical issue + additional infos like:
do you play single or multiplayer, modded or vanilla and all these basic infos.

Quick overview:
Windows 11
AMD Ryzen 9 7950x
Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus WiFi
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GDDR6X
64gig Trident Z5
3 TB available space

No mods, just pure vanilla. Single player only. No recording or streaming.
Never messed with any config folders. Not too big on messing around with things I do not know about lol.

Only other thing of note is when Zombies get close does it get worse, even if only 1 or 2 in the area.

As mentioned above, can run Rust on max settings and still get 90-100 frames on a 1000 pop server with no issues.

Have ran 7D2D with no issues for years until 1.0. Have plenty of games to play and kill time, but this is just my go-to for simple entertainment.

An important first step could be to delete this folder:
C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie
that's a recommended step from the devs for every new major update.

If this doesn't help try setting it fullscreen, disable EAC or a different graphics api like vulcan available in the 7d2d startup program settings.

They game is very bad developed. Don't even hope for better perfomance. Better hardware won't fix the issue. This can be seen in the usage of cpu/gpu. Both are idling while running the game, but getting more than 60fps on low settings is nearly impossible
