Go to your 7DTD game installation folder. Open up the game launcher. Click the button that says something like "Reset to default settings" or something like that. Then click Save & Run.

If that doesn't work, uninstall the game, then go to where your game was installed. Delete whatever remains of it. Then go to C:\Users\me\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie via %appdata%, back-up everything, then delete everything inside.

Now, go back to Steam, reinstall the game. That should do the trick. Basically, you're doing a completely fresh install of the game without any residue files.
