Game recently thinks I have a controller, and can't switch it off!
For some reason the game now thinks it's being run by xbox controller, and telling it to disable it made it worse.
Now I can't use mouse or keyboard at all. Deleted and reinstalled game as well as the appdata roaming file.
No fix so far in sight.
Thousands of hours and NOW the game want's to screw up permanant?

Is there a controller plugged in? Had the same issue, check your devices as it might recognise a bluetooth device as one too.

Negative.
I don't own ANY controllers. Hardcore PC master race I guess.
Just uninstalled and deleted EVERYTHING again. Hope it helps or back to old build I go.

I DID use a controller so it may be different for other cases, but even after restarting the game and reconnecting and turning my controller off the controller buttons popped up in the menu, so I went to my "Bluetooth and other device settings" (on windows 11) and saw a controller that was connected still and disconnected that and it fixed it for me.

This, disable your gamepad in whatever os you are using, or set the primary device to your keyboard.
