"Zombie Slayer" challenge doesn't reward you with anything

The first stage of Zombie Slayer challenge says the reward is 10000 xp and ammo but I received neither when I redeemed it.

Not a bug, rewards from challenges can be claimed from any trader.
Seems the only reason for this is to not reward the player with items seemingly from nowhere.
