Interesting. I've never seen one like that. I think Khissi may be right, could be a graphics setting.
just found can't see flames from burning mod on tools and weapons
This bug makes the game unplayable, it's not only invisible, there is no sound either?
I just died to this bug, I had no idea what was going on, but went back to try to figure it out, which wasn't easy.
It was only because my wife knew of it, and when she told me, I entered another way, and found the handle to turn it off. But this is not acceptable for gameplay.
FIX that worked for me:
Playing this game on Linux on Steam, I opened the launcher, and changed Renderer to Vulkan, and untagged "Enable Graphics Jobs".
I then started the game and the gas flames worked fine.
If you shut the gas off, and want to turn it on again for testing, start the game with "Creative Mode" = on, and at the place where the gas flame should be, you press F8 to open console, and write rc <enter>, this will turn it back on.
Errors!!!
Turns out that I get errors very quickly running Vulkan, so this "fix" makes it even more unplayable.
